Meet Ben
Ben started in the sprinkler industry in 2006 and is one of three founding directors of WSD. He heads the maintenance division, overseeing the planned servicing and reactive support that keeps client fire and life safety systems compliant across the UK.
Ben started in the sprinkler industry in 2006. Coming from a domestic background, he found the change to commercial fire and electrical work fulfilling and exciting, and has spent the past two decades shaping how engineers on his teams deliver work to standard.
In September 2021 Ben co-founded WSD with Luke Wellings and Stuart Dodson. He heads WSD’s maintenance division, with operational responsibility for the planned servicing and reactive support that keeps client fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, gas suppression and trace heating compliant and reliable across the UK.
Ben continues to demand the very best from every engineer on the team. He has a proven track record in training apprentices, and the way WSD’s apprentice intake is brought up to fully qualified status reflects the standards he sets across the business.
“Starting WSD with my partners has been a refreshing new start in the industry. We are all extremely driven, hardworking and articulate.”
In his spare time, Ben loves nothing more than spending time with his family and going walking with his beloved dog.
