WSD delivered the complete electrical, control and monitoring scope across the pump room and associated suppression infrastructure on this Materials Recovery Facility project. The work covered sprinkler and hydrant pump wiring, pre-action and deluge control, and the network of monitoring signals that gives the building’s third-party interface live visibility of every key signal across the pump room.
Sprinkler and hydrant pumps
Three sprinkler fire pumps and two hydrant fire pumps wired up with all associated control wiring.
Pre-action and deluge controls
Three pre-action valve sets with corresponding control panels, plus control and monitoring wiring for two deluge systems.
Third-party signal monitoring
53 pump room monitoring signals taken back to the third-party interface, plus 26 signal valve chambers wired back to an enclosure for third-party wiring.
Pump room electrical
Heating, lighting, small power and control circuits for extract fans and louvres.
